Salam guys,

I’m Abdalla, the founder of SPN and an Economics and Math student at UT Austin. I am incredibly excited to welcome you all as the very first members of this platform.

The story of how SPN came to life started with my own personal journey. For a long time, I’ve been aggressively chasing investment banking recruiting. If you’ve ever been on that path, you know what comes with it: endless networking calls. To be honest, I hated them. They felt incredibly transactional, robotic, and fake.

I quickly realized I needed to completely rethink how I was networking. I started intentionally looking for Sudanese professionals in the field. After countless hours scouring LinkedIn, digging through profiles, and putting in the hard work, I discovered something amazing: we have a decent amount of Sudanese professionals sitting in ultra-high positions at some of the most prestigious firms in the world.

As I built these genuine connections over time, a lightbulb went off. I realized there are probably thousands of other ambitious Sudanese students and youth aiming to accomplish the exact same goals, facing the exact same roadblocks. I thought: Why don't we have a single, unified space where the entire Sudanese diaspora can connect?

🚀 Our Mission & Vision

Initially, our main focus is simple: connection and collaboration. * Unite the Youth: We want to bring college organizations and students together to share ideas. Who knows? You might meet your future co-founder here and build a billion-dollar startup that gets you into Y Combinator.

A Safe Space to Grow: This is a dedicated space for us as youth to come together, talk, share our experiences, and figure out how we can collectively give back to Sudan. We are its future, and it’s up to us to learn from previous mistakes and build something lasting.

🔮 Where We Are Going Next

As we scale, we want to hear from you about the exact types of professionals you want to connect with. We already have incredible top-tier engineers, entrepreneurs, doctors, researchers, and politicians from all over the globe who have enthusiastically agreed to come on board and help us out.

Eventually, we want SPN to evolve into a dedicated "Sudanese LinkedIn," but with a much deeper community focus. We have massive ambitions for this platform, including:
